You love their dancing and singing. When you go shopping you try to imitate their styles, and when your mother walks into your room, sometimes she finds you dancing to their tunes.

They are your idols. They are Rihanna, Justin Timberlake and Zac Efron, among others.

You are used to seeing them in movies, video clips and other performances all over the world, but before they get in front of the cameras and grab their microphones, they go through a thorough routine: exercise, exercise, exercise.

Rihanna’s figure is the envy of women all over the world, but how does she get fit, you may be wondering.

In an interview with Fabulous magazine, Rihanna revealed her secret to stay in shape and live a healthy life.

The secret: Running on the treadmill daily. Rihanna confessed during the interview with the magazine that she needs motivation to keep up with the workout. That’s why her personal trainer travels along with her, to give her the incentive to exercise.

You, like Rihanna, may also need someone to help you stay in shape. That’s what your friends are there for. Take a few friends from school and hit the gym with them.

Rhianna, in addition to having a daily workout with cardio and weight training, also tries to keep away from foods high in carbohydrates. These include bread, doughnuts and other sweets. According to People Magazine, Rihanna drinks water with lemon, eats lots of carrots, lettuce, cucumbers, egg whites and chicken and snacks on fruit all day.

Emma Roberts, star of the 2007 movie “Nancy Drew” and the Nickelodeon television series “Unfabulous”, and also the National Spokesperson for the National “Drop Everything and Read” Day Program, also likes running. According to an interview published on www.webmd.com, the young Hollywood actress, in addition to running an hour a day, likes to ride her bike, work her abs with sit-ups, and have fun exercising with her trainer by playing games and jumping on the trampoline.

These world-renowned stars are doing a good job not only at getting fit but also at improving their overall health. Some of the activities these celebrities engage in everyday, such as bicycling and running, are cited on the American Heart Association website as the most beneficial activities to perform in order to live a healthy life.

Your favorite stars, as you see, share something more than fame and special talents. They have the strength and motivation to keep themselves in great shape and to keep away from unhealthy habits.

Emma loves pizza and chocolate, but she makes an effort to only eat these “once in a while.” She knows how bad they can be. You, too, can do the same thing. Eat more salads, fruits and veggies and stay away from the always-tempting hamburgers, pizzas and sweets.
